oceanography > physics

Formerly part of the "Management Unit of the Mathematical Model of the North Sea and Scheldt Estuary", the marine forecasting centre of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS) issues 5-day forecasts of the marine conditions in the North Sea twice a day. These forecasts are used in numerous applications to support the missions and activities of Belgian and foreign public sectors (federal, regional, marine forecasting centres of neighbouring countries, European agencies, etc.); Belgian and foreign private sectors (operators of offshore wind parks, fishing industry, tourism and leisure industries, etc.); and Belgian and foreign scientific research sectors (universities and research centres).

Updates

The forecasts are updated every day at 10 AM and 10 PM.

The aim

The aim of this website is to publish our 5-day forecasts to the greatest possible number of persons.
